About:
A World Drained of Hope and Desire:
The game’s central theme revolves around a world where people are losing their “desires” and will to live, becoming like zombies.
This echoes the “empathy syndrome” seen in Persona 3, but with its own distinct flavor. The protagonist and his new Phantom Thieves aim to reclaim these lost desires.
New Protagonist, New Wild Card:
You play as a male silent protagonist, codenamed Wonder, who is a second-year student at Kiba Academy. Like Joker from “Persona 5,” Wonder is a Wild Card, capable of wielding multiple Personas. His initial Persona is Jánošík, a Slovakian folk hero known for “robbing from the rich and giving to the poor,” drawing parallels to the themes of justice and rebellion.
Palaces and Distorted Desires: “Persona 5 : The Phantom X ,” the game features Palaces, which are cognitive worlds manifested from individuals’ “warped desires.” The new Phantom Thieves infiltrate these Palaces to steal the “Treasure” (the emotional root of these desires) and change the hearts of the Rulers (individuals who have committed heinous deeds).
The First Palace and its Parallels: The initial arc mirrors “Persona 5” in its structure. Wonder and his first ally, Motoha Arai (codename Closer), confront an evil former baseball teacher who has a grudge against Closer. This villain’s Palace revolves around his distorted desire for revenge and perceived professional ruin
